Caring for Teachers is Caring for Students.

Sometimes when facing obstacles, teachers can’t see the possibilities. Our teachers are operating from reality; in that reality, they have a challenge or problem. It may not be a life-threatening challenge or problem, but nonetheless, it is an obstacle they want or need to overcome. These obstacles can illuminate the breakdown in mindset, systems, and structure that might be hindering their progress. Sometimes when facing these obstacles, teachers can’t see the possibilities. This 5-week course is an opportunity for teachers who cannot see beyond the obstacles to renew, reimagine and renege with their school community. Teachers will be guided through quieting the noise to solidify individual goals to meet the needs of their students and the school community by holding themselves accountable to their why.

PROGRAM

Self-care thrives on self-awareness and positive self-esteem, and teachers who are committed to developing themselves in these ways have better interpersonal skills, create positive, high-quality learning environments, and tend to have the ability and willingness to reflect on their teaching and to engage in professional development activities.” (Le Cornu, 1999). Thrive creates a supportive environment that allows vulnerability, practice, sharing, accountability, and growth. Cohorts of teaching communities will thrive by fostering relationships built on trust among teachers from diverse schools and districts. Through ongoing training and coaching, these teachers will tap into their emotional awareness to become committed classroom teachers determined to foster student success and adult growth.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This group coaching/training experience is designed for novice and veteran teachers experiencing challenges.

INVESTMENT/LOCATION

Group rates of three or more are available. All of our group training sessions, group coaching and 1:1 coaching sessions are conducted virtually.

PROGRAM BENEFITS

Teachers connect to and learn from each other through group coaching with an expert leader facilitator/coach to develop new relationships, problem-solving and resource sharing. They will also have the opportunity to learn from guest speakers who have experienced success in their growth area. FREQUENCY

Each participant will commit 120-minutes weekly over nine weeks. Participants engage in 90-minutes of live training/coaching and consultancies via Zoom weekly. Participants will have pre-work, connect with their accountability partner, review content, and engage with themselves. Activities are designed to energize teachers and allow ease in interactions with their school community. *Optional monthly 1:1 coaching sessions available at an additional cost where each teacher will receive individualized coaching support to improve in a specific growth area.
